Senior Electronics Security Technician

About the role

SEME Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Electronic Security Technician to join our Perth team. This is a hands-on role working on medium to large integrated electronic security systems for clients across government, Defence, corrections, commercial, healthcare and resources. You will take ownership of complex technical work, including installation, commissioning, fault-finding and system integration, while supporting quality project delivery and providing guidance to other technicians when required.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, commission and maintain access control, IP CCTV, intrusion detection, perimeter detection and integrated security systems
• Diagnose complex system, network and integration faults
• Complete system cutovers, upgrades, testing and commissioning
• Prepare accurate service reports, test records, ITP documentation and as-built information
• Liaise professionally with clients, project teams and other trades
• Provide technical leadership and support to technicians and apprentices
• Work safely and comply with site, quality and security requirements

About you

• Solid experience delivering commercial or enterprise electronic security systems
• Advanced fault-finding, commissioning and problem-solving skills
• Strong knowledge of access control, IP CCTV, alarms and TCP/IP networking
• Experience with high-level integrations and live system cutovers
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and contribute to a team
• Current WA Security Installer Licence, driver's licence and Australian working rights
• ACMA Open Cabling Registration and Construction White Card, or the ability to obtain them
• Ability to meet customer screening, police clearance and security clearance requirements where applicable
• Experience or certification in Gallagher, including T1A environments, Milestone, Genetec, Avigilon, Geutebrück, Inner Range Integriti/Concept or ICT Protege
• Experience on government, Defence, corrections, critical infrastructure or other high-security sites
