Senior Embedded Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Define embedded electronics and system architecture for medical devices.

• Lead microcontroller/processor, component and subsystem selection.

• Define/review firmware architecture, schematics, PCB designs and engineering calculations.

• Lead power electronics, battery/power-management, actuator and flow-control system design.

• Lead PCB bring-up, multidisciplinary integration and complex failure analysis.

• Define product verification, reliability and validation strategies.

• Drive root-cause analysis, design improvements and engineering change control.

• Support EMI/EMC, electrical safety and product certification activities.

• Own technical readiness for clinical validation and field deployment.

• Lead critical projects, mentor L0/L1 engineers and coordinate across engineering/clinical teams.

Basic Technical Expectations

• Microcontrollers, embedded architecture and Embedded C/C++.

• UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, USB, RS-232/RS-485 and Ethernet.

• Analog/digital electronics, PCB design review and board-level debugging.

• Component selection, lifecycle management and design optimisation.

• Power electronics, conversion, protection and system power architecture.

• Battery pack design, charging, BMS, protection and power optimisation.

• Motor, solenoid and precision actuator-control systems.

• Pump, valve, flow and pressure-control systems including closed-loop control.

• Product verification, reliability testing, root-cause analysis and design reviews.
