What they need
Role & responsibilities
Hands-on engineer to develop and prototype a high-speed sensorless BLDC motor controller for a 230 VAC professional angle grinder. Work across motor-control firmware, power electronics, inverter debugging, motor testing and prototype development
Must-Have Skills
- Strong experience in BLDC/PMSM motor control
- Hands-on experience with sensorless six-step/trapezoidal commutation
- Good understanding of BEMF zero-crossing, startup and open-loop to closed-loop transition
- Strong Embedded C experience
- Experience with dsPIC33 / STM32 / TI C2000 or similar motor-control MCU
- Experience with 3-phase MOSFET/IGBT inverters
- Experience with 300400 VDC / mains-powered motor drives
- Strong knowledge of:
- PWM and dead time
- current sensing and current limiting
- stall/locked-rotor protection
- overcurrent, thermal and voltage protection
- gate-driver circuits
- Strong oscilloscope and laboratory debugging skills
- Ability to independently bring a motor controller from prototype to working productPreferred candidate profile
