Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with a strong background in C++ development and DevOps to support the development, integration, build, and deployment of safety-critical embedded software products.

The ideal candidate will have experience working across the complete software development lifecycle and be comfortable working at the intersection of embedded software development and DevOps/CI-CD environments . Experience with DO-178, requirements management, GitHub, automated builds, integration, and testing is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and test embedded software using C++ .
• Participate in the complete software lifecycle, including requirements, architecture, design, development, integration, testing, and release .
• Develop and maintain DevOps and CI/CD workflows supporting embedded software development.
• Support automated software build, integration, testing, and deployment processes .
• Work with Git/GitHub for source-code management, branching, version control, and software configuration management.
• Work closely with embedded software, systems, DevOps, integration, and verification teams .
• Troubleshoot software build, integration, and development environment issues.
• Support requirements management and traceability using tools such as DOORS and Jama .
• Develop software in accordance with DO-178 guidelines for safety-critical systems.
• Support software verification and certification-related activities.
• Continuously improve development, build, integration, and automation processes.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience .
• Strong hands-on development experience with C++ .
• Strong experience developing embedded software/embedded systems .
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices .
• Experience with source-code and configuration-management tools such as Git and GitHub .
• Experience with automated build, integration, and testing environments .
• Experience across multiple phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) .
• Experience working with requirements management tools such as DOORS and/or Jama .
• Experience coordinating across systems, embedded software, integration, and test teams .
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DO-178B/DO-178C and safety-critical software.
• Experience developing software for aerospace, avionics, embedded, or other safety-critical systems .
• Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD technologies .
• Experience with build technologies such as CMake, Make, or similar embedded build systems .
• Familiarity with Linux-based embedded development environments .
• Experience with automated software testing and continuous integration.
• Understanding of requirements traceability from system/software requirements through verification.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: $ 78000/year

Pay Range Maximum: $148000/year

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law.
