Senior Embedded Software Engineer (Automotive / ADAS)

About the Role

Hitachi Digital Services is looking for an experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our IoT engineering team in Ho Chi Minh City[1][5]. In this role, you will take ownership of technical solutions, architect embedded software components, and lead development for advanced automotive systems (including Radar and ADAS applications)[2].

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Own software architecture decisions, analyze customer requirements, conduct code/design reviews, and support project estimations[2].
• Software Development: Design, develop, and integrate complex embedded software components using advanced C/C++[2].
• System Testing & Quality: Lead debugging, root-cause analysis, and system qualification testing in compliance with automotive standards (ASPICE, ISO 26262)[2].
• Mentorship: Guide junior and mid-level engineers, enforcing coding standards and engineering best practices[2].

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field[2].
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in embedded software development (with strong automotive domain experience)[2].
• Advanced programming expertise in C and C++[2].
• Solid background in multi-core embedded systems, RTOS, or bare-metal development (Embedded Linux is a plus)[2][6].
• Strong knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and requirements management[2].
• Experience leading technical activities or small engineering teams[2].
• Good English communication skills (verbal and written)[2].
• Preferred / Bonus: Experience with AUTOSAR (Classic/Adaptive), Radar/ADAS systems, ISO 26262, CANoe, DaVinci, Polyspace, or Infineon TriCore platforms[2].
