Senior Embryologist

1. Leads lab-based fertility investigation and treatment, protecting patient confidentiality throughout
2. Enforces health, safety, and lab SOPs under the UAE Fertilization Law (ART 2019)
3. Prepares center statistics, audits, and KPIs, and oversees sample labelling, witnessing, and liquid nitrogen levels
4. Performs embryo transfers, fertilization, egg retrieval, ICSI, assisted hatching, and sperm preparation under consultant supervision
5. Communicates treatment progress and results to patients and families, including difficult updates
6. Carries out the full range of clinical embryology tasks: semen analysis, MESA/PESA/TESE, oocyte and embryo culture, cryopreservation, and blastocyst grading

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science, applied science, biology, or medical science, with a focus on Human Embryology
2. Master's degree plus advanced training on top of the Bachelor's
3. Valid DHA license to practice as an embryologist (mandatory, not optional)
4. 7 to 8 years working in Embryology
5. Hands-on background in an IVF or Reproductive Specialty lab setting
6. Proven experience performing embryo transfers, fertilization, egg retrieval, ICSI, assisted hatching, and sperm preparation
7. Direct experience with semen analysis, MESA/PESA/TESE, oocyte and embryo culture, cryopreservation, and blastocyst grading
8. Familiarity with UAE Fertilization Law (ART 2019) and Dubai regulatory requirements for embryology labs
9. Experience enforcing lab SOPs, health and safety protocols, and sample labelling/witnessing procedures
10. Track record of mentoring junior embryology staff or leading a lab team
11. Comfortable managing center statistics, audits, and KPIs
12. Strong communication skills, including delivering difficult updates to patients and families
13. Attention to detail and precision under pressure, since sample handling and liquid nitrogen levels carry zero margin for error
14. Discretion and confidentiality, given the sensitive nature of fertility treatment
15. Ability to work under consultant supervision while still taking ownership of lab operations
