Senior Engineer, Back-End (Security Controls)

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Engineer, Back-End (Security Controls) to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space.

This role will focus on building and maintaining the backend systems that power security control capabilities within a fast-moving technology environment. You will design scalable data-processing workflows, support reliable integrations with external security platforms, and help ensure component communication is efficient and well-structured. The position will partner closely with frontend teams and other technical stakeholders to deliver clear, usable data and a strong end-to-end product experience.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $199,750 – $270,250 annually

Responsibilities

• Design and build dedicated normalizers for EDR vendors while ensuring they remain reliable as APIs change
• Develop core product features using ETL and GraphQL for effective data processing
• Design and implement GraphQL backend APIs for component communication
• Build and maintain efficient ETL pipelines for data processing and analytics
• Collaborate with frontend teams to enhance the user experience through clear data presentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience using modern programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, and similar technologies
• Deep experience building and maintaining third-party API integrations at scale
• Hands-on familiarity with EDR platforms and their use in SOC teams
• Expert proficiency in SQL
• Experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP, and container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong technical documentation and mentoring abilities
