Senior Engineer – Billing

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer – Billing to manage project billing, contractor bills, quantity verification, BOQ preparation, cost monitoring, and billing documentation for high-rise residential construction projects. The candidate should have strong knowledge of civil construction, quantity surveying, rate analysis, and contractor billing.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, verify, and certify contractor and subcontractor running account (RA) bills and final bills.
• Check quantities against approved drawings, BOQ, work orders, and actual site measurements.
• Prepare and verify measurement sheets, reconciliation statements, and abstract sheets.
• Conduct joint measurements with site engineers and contractors.
• Prepare BOQs, quantity take-offs, and detailed cost estimates for civil and finishing works.
• Perform rate analysis for extra items, deviation items, and non-BOQ items.
• Monitor project costs, budget variations, and quantities against approved estimates.
• Coordinate with site execution, contracts, purchase, planning, and accounts teams for timely bill processing.
• Verify material consumption, wastage, recoveries, deductions, and contractor advances.
• Maintain billing records, work orders, variation statements, and supporting documents.
• Assist in preparation of client bills, where applicable, and ensure timely submission and follow-up.
• Ensure billing accuracy and compliance with company procedures and contractual terms.
• Prepare monthly billing reports and update management on billing status, pending bills, and cost variations.
• Handle billing for civil, structural, finishing, and other construction-related activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3–4 years of relevant experience in billing and quantity surveying within the construction or real estate industry.
• Experience in high-rise residential building projects will be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of contractor billing, RA bills, final bills, BOQ, and quantity surveying.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and construction billing software/ERP.
• Knowledge of rate analysis, measurement books, reconciliation, and contract terms.
• Strong analytical, coordination, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to independently handle billing activities and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Candidates with experience in reputed real estate developers or construction companies.
• Practical knowledge of RCC, structural works, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, and finishing works.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with site teams, contractors, and accounts.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial and quantity calculations.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
