Senior Engineer

As a Senior Engineer at BMS Offshore, you are the technical anchor for our offshore and subsea projects.

You translate complex project requirements into smart, workable engineering solutions: from the tender phase all the way through to offshore execution. With your strong technical expertise and structured approach, you guide the project team in making critical decisions that balance feasibility, safety, and innovation.

This role combines technical leadership with close collaboration across disciplines. You work alongside project managers, offshore personnel, subcontractors, and clients to ensure engineering deliverables are complete, correct, and ready for real-world implementation. Your work spans method development, risk assessments, detailed calculations, and the review of drawings and work packs.

While administrative work is minimal, the role offers significant technical responsibility, personal growth opportunities, and a good level of autonomy, making it ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives on both complexity and execution-driven results.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review technical documents, calculations and work methods;
• Support the tender team with engineering input and solutions;
• Guide junior engineers and review their work;
• Interface with project managers, clients and subcontractors;
• Conduct risk assessments and technical evaluations;
• Support offshore operations with procedures and technical clarifications.

Must Have

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Engineering;
• 5+ years of engineering experience in offshore or marine construction;
• Skilled in engineering software;
• Strong analytical and communication skills;
• Good communication and reporting skills;
• Fluent in verbal and written English;
• Pro-active and independent.

Nice to have

• Offshore work experience;
• Familiarity with offshore work standards (DNV, ISO…).
