Senior Engineer

Reports to

Assistant Chief Engineer / Chief Engineer

Job Responsibilities

1. Assists the Chief Engineer in the day-to-day operation of the Department
2. Assists Chief Engineer in the general administration of the Engineering department
3. Schedules preventive and corrective maintenance and keeps records to ensure efficient and trouble-free functioning of all mechanical and electrical equipment as well as all public area defects
4. Schedules predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance and keeps maintenance records of all works
5. Maintains Fire Protection system, Chilled water plant, hot water system, kitchen equipment and all other building related system
6. Ensures that swimming pool and related equipment are maintained in good working condition and in compliance to regulations
7. Invites quotation for addition and alteration projects, and jobs beyond the department’s capacity and supervises them with proper execution
8. Responsible to liaise with term contractors on servicing schedule
9. Conducts daily Engineering briefing with all working Shift Engineers and Technicians in the absence of Chief Engineer
10. Attends to technical duties as assigned from time to time
11. Maintains emergency generators and conducts test run according to schedule
12. Support Security department during fire drill exercise and for any fire related matters
13. Attend to daily renovation roll call meetings in the absence of ACE/CE.
14. Ensure stock levels for spares are available at all time.
15. Plan shift roster for shift engineers, technical officers, senior technicians and shift technicians,

Education & Work Experience

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical /Mechatronic Engineering
• Possesses problem-solving & interpersonal skills with ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Possesses good analytical, communication & time management skills
• Preferably possesses a Fire Manager Certificate
• Preferably possesses a Green Mark Manager / Green Mark Facilities Manager Certificate
• At least 5 years’ experience in related M&E field for Diploma holders
• Fresh graduate for Degree holders will be considered
