Senior Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Engineer / Sr. Engineer Supplier Quality Assurance & QMS to manage supplier quality activities, ensure compliance with IATF 16949:2016, and drive continuous improvement across suppliers.

The role will involve supplier audits, quality improvement initiatives, APQP/PPAP activities, problem-solving, process audits, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and supplier audits based on IATF 16949:2016 requirements.
• Manage supplier interactions for Direct Parts and ensure compliance with applicable quality standards.
• Monitor supplier quality performance, QA/QC policies, and corrective actions.
• Review and evaluate PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA and related quality documents.
• Support supplier development and PFMEA activities for components.
• Conduct process and product audits and drive closure of identified gaps.
• Establish and maintain quality standards and systems at suppliers.
• Support supplier improvement through training and technical guidance.
• Inspect and validate materials, equipment, processes and products against defined specifications.
• Monitor supplier quality performance through regular reviews and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Analyze quality data using tools such as Pareto, 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone and FTA.
• Coordinate with suppliers for packaging, material handling and receiving requirements.
• Manage supplier quality-related rejections, PPM, 4M changes and SPC/MSA requirements.
• Support customer requirements, including VDA 6.3, Zero Defect System implementation and Dojo-related supplier activities.

Key Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of QMS and IATF 16949:2016

• Supplier Quality Assurance & Supplier Development

• APQP / PPAP / PFMEA / SPC / MSA

• 8D Problem Solving / Root Cause Analysis

• VDA 6.3 and process auditing

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as:

• Die Casting

• Stamping

• Moulding

• Insertion Moulding

• Wire Harness

• SMT Process

• Assembly & Testing

• Knowledge of quality analysis and improvement techniques

• Understanding of Japanese standards and practices is an advantage
