Senior Engineer

• Manage and coordinate engineering and design activities for EHV/HV/LV power transmission and distribution projects.
• Provide technical support for electrical substation, OHTL, UG cable, and STATCOM projects.
• Review engineering designs, technical specifications, drawings, calculations, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines, contractors, consultants, vendors, and project stakeholders.
• Support and monitor procurement activities, including technical review of vendor documentation and equipment submissions.
• Develop and monitor project planning and scheduling activities to ensure timely completion of engineering and project deliverables.
• Coordinate project activities from engineering and procurement through construction, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules, milestones, budgets, and deliverables.
• Identify project risks, assess their potential impact, and support the development and implementation of risk mitigation plans.
• Coordinate commissioning activities and provide technical support during testing and energization of electrical systems.
• Review project requirements and ensure compliance with applicable technical standards, specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Prepare and review management reports, project progress reports, technical records, meeting minutes, and project correspondence.
• Maintain proper project records, engineering documentation, and correspondence.
• Conduct and participate in project meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Follow up on action items, technical queries, approvals, and project deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance and support to engineering and project teams.
• Coordinate interfaces between electrical engineering, construction, procurement, commissioning, and other project functions.
• Support resolution of technical and project-related issues to ensure successful project execution.
• Ensure project activities are carried out in accordance with approved quality, safety, schedule, and project management requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

• University Degree – bachelor’s in electrical engineering with special subject of power transmission & distribution. twelve (12) years of experience, which Ten (10) years must be in Engineering, Design, Procurement, Project Management, of EHV/HV/LV Power Transmission projects involving Electrical Substation, OHTL/UG Cables, STATCOM. Should be well versed in Project Management, Planning & Scheduling, Commissioning and Risk Management of the entire project. Must have good technical background with management skills and well conversant with management reporting, records keeping, meetings, coordination and correspondence. Good command of written and spoken English language is necessary. Similar qualification for Arabic language is desirable & becomes added qualification.
