Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Workflow Platform Engineer with expertise in Camunda, Flowable, Temporal, or related workflow orchestration platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong software engineering capabilities in Python and React, hands-on experience with asynchronous programming patterns, and a solid understanding of observability, monitoring, and distributed systems.

This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable workflow-driven applications and business process automation solutions while ensuring reliability, performance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize workflow and orchestration solutions using Temporal, Camunda, Flowable, or similar workflow engines.
• Build scalable backend services using Python with a focus on event-driven and asynchronous architectures.
• Develop modern frontend applications using React.js.
• Implement and maintain complex business process automations and workflow integrations.
• Design and develop APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Leverage asynchronous programming techniques to improve application scalability and performance.
• Build observability frameworks including logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting mechanisms.
• Troubleshoot workflow failures, bottlenecks, and production issues.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineering teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
• Establish engineering best practices around workflow orchestration, reliability, security, and code quality.
• Participate in system design reviews and architecture discussions.

Required Skills & Qualifications Workflow & Orchestration

• Strong experience with Temporal, Camunda, Flowable, or similar workflow orchestration platforms.
• Deep understanding of workflow design patterns, BPMN, state management, and process automation.
• Experience building resilient long-running business processes.

Backend Development

• Strong programming experience in Python.
• Expertise in asynchronous programming concepts (AsyncIO, event-driven systems, concurrency, task queues, message-driven architectures).
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.

Frontend Development

• Hands-on experience with React.js.
• Experience building modern, responsive user interfaces and dashboards.

Observability & Reliability

• Experience implementing observability solutions using tools such as:
  • OpenTelemetry
  • Prometheus
  • Grafana
  • ELK Stack
  • Datadog
  • Splunk
• Knowledge of distributed tracing, metrics, logging, and alerting.

Cloud & DevOps

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Understanding of containers and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with event streaming platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar.
• Understanding of distributed systems, fault tolerance, and high-availability architectures.
• Knowledge of workflow migration and modernization initiatives.
• Exposure to enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Nice to Have

• Certifications in cloud platforms or workflow technologies.
• Experience with platform engineering or developer productivity initiatives.
• Experience building internal workflow platforms and self-service automation tools.
