Job Description Sr. Engineer – Quality

Location: Dadri, Uttar Pradesh
Department: Quality
Designation: Sr. Engineer – Quality
Salary Budget: 45,000 – 55,000 per month
Qualification: Diploma in Chemical Engineering
Experience: 5–8 years preferred
Industry: PU / Automotive / PU Foam Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure Quality Assurance & Quality Control standards across the shop floor.
• Monitor product and process quality as per customer specifications and internal standards.
• Handle day-to-day quality issues, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Implement CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions) for quality issues, rejections and customer complaints.
• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance and other departments for timely resolution of quality concerns.
• Handle, guide and monitor quality manpower to achieve departmental targets.
• Conduct process inspections and identify process deviations.
• Maintain and update quality-related documentation, records, reports and checklists.
• Support implementation and compliance of IATF 16949 requirements.
• Conduct internal process audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
• Drive 5S Management and maintain workplace standards within the quality and production areas.
• Analyse rejection, rework and process-defect data and recommend improvement actions.
• Support customer complaints, rejection analysis and corrective-action implementation.
• Ensure adherence to quality systems, procedures, work instructions and safety requirements.

Required Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good knowledge of PU manufacturing processes and quality parameters.
• Hands-on experience in shop-floor troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 Quality Management System.
• Practical knowledge of CAPA, Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why and corrective actions.
• Good understanding of 5S Management.
• Strong knowledge of quality documentation and record maintenance.
• Good manpower handling and team management skills.
• Strong communication, coordination and reporting abilities.
• Ability to work independently and take quick corrective decisions on the shop floor.

Preferred Candidate

Diploma in Chemical Engineering with relevant PU/automotive industry experience, strong shop-floor exposure and proven capability in Quality Assurance, IATF 16949, CAPA, 5S, documentation, manpower handling and troubleshooting.Role & responsibilities
