About the role

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to join our team in supporting the engineering and project delivery function for specialty gas equipment and industrial gas systems across assigned territories and industries. The incumbent will also provide technical expertise in project execution, proposal development, engineering design, commissioning, and customer support while ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery. Support continuous improvement initiatives through collaboration with group companies, suppliers, and key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

Engineering & Project Delivery

• Support engineering design, project execution, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Monitor project schedules, identify risks and issues, and support project leaders in achieving project milestones.
• Prepare engineering documents, technical specifications, drawings, method statements, and project reports.
• Assist in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and technical problem resolution.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company procedures throughout project execution.

Proposal & Technical Support

• Support proposal development for engineering projects and customer requirements.
• Review technical requirements, feasibility, and project scope, and recommend suitable engineering solutions.
• Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, and tender submissions.
• Participate in customer meetings, technical presentations, and project discussions when required.

Regional Coordination & Continuous Improvement

• Liaise with group companies to gather project updates, share engineering knowledge, and support project execution.
• Support the evaluation and development of equipment suppliers and engineering partners.
• Contribute to engineering standardization, safety initiatives, and productivity improvement programs.
• Support engineering workshops, training programs, and knowledge-sharing activities across the organization.
• Prepare and present project updates and engineering matters to management and key stakeholders when required.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Mechatronic Engineering, or equivalent.
• Diploma holders with relevant industry experience may also be considered.
• Minimum 3-8 years of experience in project engineering, proposal development, process plants, industrial gas, chemical, or related industries.
• Experience in project execution, installation, commissioning, maintenance, or technical support is preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial gas systems, piping systems, pressure equipment, or process facilities is an advantage.
• Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Willingness to travel regionally for project support and customer visits.
