Senior Engineer

Job Title: Senior Engineer Department: Customer Care Reports To: Director of Customer Care Job Type: Full-Time Onsite, Salaried Exempt Position Summary HC Forklift America Corporation (Rock Hill, SC) seeks Senior Engineer to conduct and support durability, performance and validation testing for forklifts and internal combustion engines, including evaluation of system functionality and operating behavior; perform diagnostics and troubleshooting and execute testing activities for product development, engineering verification, and emissions-related certification, including analysis of engineering data to identify failures, inefficiencies, and abnormal conditions; investigate and resolve quality and compliance issues and recommend engineering improvements to enhance product performance and reliability; support and manage multiple customer programs and engineering projects; develop and maintain bilingual technical documentation, including test procedures, validation reports, engineering analyses, training materials, and best practices; provide technical training to customers, dealers, and internal personnel to support product application and usage; and serve as a technical interface between engineering team in China, customers, dealers, internal teams, and global engineering partners. Requires at least a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a related field; minimum 2 years of experience in a related engineering position involving internal combustion engines and powertrain systems; experience must include work in product testing, verification, validation, troubleshooting and diagnostics, technical documentation, and customer-facing engineering support. Proficiency in calibration or diagnostic tools, such as EDIS or INCA; EPA emissions regulations applicable to internal combustion engines and off-road equipment; and quality tools and methodologies, including APQP, FMEA, and 8D Methodology. Proficiency in both English and Mandarin.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and support durability, performance and validation testing for forklifts and internal combustion engines, including evaluation of system functionality and operating behavior;
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting and execute testing activities for product development, engineering verification, and emissions-related certification, including analysis of engineering data to identify failures, inefficiencies, and abnormal conditions;
• Investigate and resolve quality and compliance issues and recommend engineering improvements to enhance product performance and reliability;
• Support and manage multiple customer programs and engineering projects;
• Develop and maintain bilingual technical documentation, including test procedures, validation reports, engineering analyses, training materials, and best practices;
• Provide technical training to customers, dealers, and internal personnel to support product application and usage;
• And serve as a technical interface between engineering team in China, customers, dealers, internal teams, and global engineering partners.

Required Qualifications

• At least a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a related field;
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a related engineering position involving internal combustion engines and powertrain systems;

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $106,000-120,000 annually ( based on experience and qualifications)
