Senior Engineer

About the role

Lead in the preparation of detailed design reports, calculations and drawings. Prepare submissions to statutory agencies and authorities. Lead in the coordination with other disciplines in preparation of design deliverables. Lead in preparing tender documentations. Participate in the tendering and successful delivery of projects. Provide training and mentoring to junior staff. Perform design management, coordination and project control on major projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead in the preparation of detailed design reports, calculations and drawings
• Prepare submissions to statutory agencies and authorities
• Lead in the coordination with other disciplines in preparation of design deliverables
• Lead in preparing tender documentations
• Participate in the tendering of projects
• Participate in the successful delivery of projects
• Training and mentoring juniors
• Design management, coordination and project control on major projects

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized University and eligible for registration with the Professional Engineers Board (Singapore)
• A minimum of 5 years of design experience
• Conversant with local codes and authority submission procedures
• Excellent interpersonal, good written and verbal communication skills
• Good knowledge of common structural design software
• Working experience in engineering design consulting practice on building, geotechnical, infrastructure, rail or road projects
• Good project management skills and strong analytical skills
• Able to work under pressure with good time management skills

Structure:

· Experienced in the design and design management of major building projects such as residential buildings, commercial, institutional, high-rise buildings, schools, etc.

· Familiar with precast and prestressed concrete, steelworks, PPVC and MET will be an added advantage.

Civil:
· Experienced in the design and design management of major civil infrastructure projects such as roads, drains, sewers, utilities, road and rail alignments.
