Senior Engineer, Constellation Systems

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Engineer, Constellation Systems to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space.

This role will focus on advancing spacecraft constellation analysis, orbit design, and operational decision support in a mission-driven environment. The ideal candidate will help shape technical processes and tools that improve performance reporting, modeling, and automation for complex space systems. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to evaluate design options, analyze mission scenarios, and communicate findings that support critical program decisions.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $135,000 – $150,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Develop and expand processes and tools for constellation orbit design
• Support design trades and key decision milestones
• Provide expertise in orbital mechanics
• Analyze scenarios and operational impacts for mission success
• Enhance modeling and automation tools for performance reporting
• Present analysis results effectively and document findings
• Contribute to internal analysis and training initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or a related field
• 5+ years of technical experience
• Familiarity with spacecraft systems and satellite constellations
• Ability to work independently on multiple projects
• Proficiency in Python and C++
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
