About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Engineer – Earthwork / Bridge to manage and supervise civil construction activities related to earthwork, bridges, structures, and railway infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Railway Projects, with hands-on experience in site execution, supervision, quality control, manpower coordination, and project monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage day-to-day earthwork and bridge construction activities at project sites.
• Ensure execution of work as per approved drawings, technical specifications, BOQ, method statements, and project schedules.
• Manage railway-related civil construction activities including earthwork, embankment, excavation, foundations, bridges, culverts, and associated structures.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, Planning, QA/QC, Safety, Survey, Billing, and other project teams.
• Review construction drawings and ensure proper implementation at site.
• Monitor excavation, filling, embankment, compaction, slope protection, and other earthwork activities.
• Supervise bridge-related works including foundations, pile works, substructure, superstructure, RCC works, reinforcement, shuttering, and concrete works.
• Ensure proper utilization of manpower, machinery, materials, and other resources.
• Monitor daily work progress and ensure activities are completed as per project schedule.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and site teams for smooth execution of works.
• Ensure quality of construction works as per approved specifications and applicable railway standards.
• Coordinate with survey teams for levels, alignment, setting out, and measurements.
• Identify site issues, technical problems, and execution constraints and coordinate with seniors for timely resolution.
• Maintain daily progress records, site reports, measurements, and required project documentation.
• Coordinate with railway authorities, consultants, clients, and other stakeholders whenever required.
• Ensure compliance with project safety procedures and railway safety requirements.
• Monitor work productivity and support the Project Manager in achieving project targets.
• Assist in quantity estimation, measurements, billing, and reconciliation of materials as required.
• Ensure proper completion and handover of assigned works.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong hands-on experience in Railway Civil Infrastructure Projects.
• Good knowledge of Earthwork and Bridge Construction.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, BOQ, specifications, and method statements.
• Knowledge of excavation, embankment, filling, compaction, drainage, and earthwork activities.
• Knowledge of bridge foundations, RCC works, piling, substructure, and superstructure works.
• Good knowledge of surveying, levels, alignment, and site measurements.
• Strong site execution and team coordination skills.
• Ability to manage subcontractors, manpower, materials, and machinery.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work at project sites and in challenging working conditions.
• Willingness to work at Pan India locations.

Qualification

Diploma in Civil Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.

Experience

• 10+ years of relevant experience in Civil Construction / Infrastructure Projects.
• Railway project experience is mandatory.
• Candidates with strong experience in Railway Earthwork and Bridge Construction will be preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of hands-on experience in civil infrastructure construction, with significant and mandatory experience in Railway Projects, particularly in Earthwork and Bridge Construction. The candidate should be capable of independently supervising site activities and coordinating with project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and railway authorities.
