Senior Engineer Infrastructure

About the role

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, coordinating, and managing infrastructure engineering works for various development and infrastructure projects. The role involves overseeing technical design, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and requirements, coordinating with clients and project stakeholders, and delivering projects within the agreed scope, budget, and schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate infrastructure engineering design works, including earthworks, roadworks, water supply, drainage, sewerage, and other related infrastructure systems.
• Plan, review, and oversee engineering designs, technical drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports.
• Manage project activities, schedules, resources, and deliverables to ensure timely and quality project completion.
• Coordinate and liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, relevant authorities, and internal project teams on technical and project-related matters.
• Attend project meetings, conduct site visits, and provide technical support throughout the design and construction stages.
• Prepare and review technical reports, design submissions, tender documentation, bills of quantities, cost estimates, and project schedules.
• Apply appropriate engineering software and design tools to support infrastructure planning, analysis, and design.
• Ensure all engineering works comply with relevant design standards, statutory requirements, project specifications, and applicable regulations.
• Review construction progress, respond to technical queries, and provide engineering solutions to address site-related issues.
• Lead and guide junior engineers and technical team members, while ensuring the quality and accuracy of engineering deliverables.

About you

1. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university.
2. Minimum 5–10 years of relevant infrastructure engineering design experience, preferably with an engineering consultancy firm.
3. Experience in one or more infrastructure disciplines, including earthworks, roadworks, water supply, drainage, sewerage, and other related infrastructure works.
4. Proficiency in relevant engineering design software, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, InfoWorks, EPANET, and other applicable engineering tools.
5. Good technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop practical and effective engineering solutions.
6. Strong report-writing, communication, coordination, and project management skills.
7. Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the capability to manage projects independently and guide junior team members.
8. Able to liaise effectively with clients, authorities, contractors, and relevant authorities.
9. Willing to travel to project sites and attend site meetings as required.
