Senior Engineer, Manufacturing Services

About the role

We are looking for experienced and technically driven Senior Engineers to join our team. We have 2 vacancies available, covering Plant Utilities and Project M&E / Infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

Senior Engineer, Mechanical, Plant Utilities:

• Manage mechanical engineering and maintenance activities for plant utility systems including compressed air, water supply, CNG/LPG, cooling tower, pumps and related equipment.
• Plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize operational disruption.
• Coordinate manpower planning and daily work activities for the Mechanical Utilities team.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) for mechanical and utility-related issues.
• Monitor utility consumption and prepare monthly utility reports.
• Manage maintenance expenditure and support cost optimization initiatives.
• Liaise with JKKP, consultants, contractors and suppliers on technical and statutory matters.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
• Support World Class Manufacturing (WCM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives.
• Ensure safe operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment and utility systems.

Senior Engineer, Infrastructure & Support – Project M&E:

• Plan, coordinate and manage plant infrastructure and M&E projects from planning through to completion.
• Provide technical support for plant extension, facility upgrading, renovation, new model introduction and production line improvement projects.
• Prepare tender documents, technical drawings, specifications and Bills of Quantities (BQ).
• Conduct tender briefings, site coordination and contractor site supervision.
• Review and verify contractor work progress, claims and project documentation.
• Coordinate projects to ensure compliance with approved scope, cost, quality and timeline.
• Provide technical support for HVAC, compressed air, water supply and fire protection systems.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Liaise with JKKP for relevant fitness certificates including PMA/PMT.
• Coordinate with BOMBA on active and passive firefighting requirements.

Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Chemical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, plant utilities, facilities, infrastructure, M&E or project engineering.
• Experience in manufacturing / plant environment will be an advantage.
• For Project M&E: experience in AutoCAD, engineering design, BQ preparation and project coordination.
• Knowledge or experience dealing with JKKP (PMA/PMT) and BOMBA requirements will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of mechanical, utilities and M&E systems.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, coordination and interpersonal skills.
• Good proficiency in Microsoft Office.
