Senior Engineer (Mechanical)

About the role

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the dynamic team at DSCO Group Sdn Bhd. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design, development and delivery of complex mechanical and MEP systems and solutions for our wide range of clients. This is a full-time, on-site role based in our JB office.

What you'll be doing

• Lead and manage the MEP design process, with a primary focus on mechanical engineering design, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, codes and regulations.
• Perform engineering duties such as planning, engineering design, mechanical calculations, tender preparation and evaluation, QA, testing and commissioning to support the M&E Project Director/Manager.
• Liaise with clients, project managers and contractors, lead projects, and produce detailed mechanical designs, drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with other engineering disciplines.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments and provide technical recommendations to clients.
• Develop and optimise mechanical systems, layouts, drawings and technical specifications.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, drawings, calculations and engineering reports.
• Monitor project progress, identify and resolve technical issues, and ensure projects are delivered in accordance with requirements, timelines and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with relevant mechanical, MEP, building and safety regulations, codes and industry standards.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching and mentorship to junior engineers and other members of the engineering team.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, best practices and industry regulations in mechanical engineering and MEP design.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes, design standards and best practices.
