Looking for a structural engineering role where the sectors are genuinely varied and the projects are technically demanding? We are growing our structural engineering team and looking for a Senior Engineer | Structural to join us in Brisbane. Our structural work spans aviation, data centres and health, with the kind of project complexity that keeps a senior engineer engaged. This is a consulting environment where you will carry projects from concept through to construction, work directly with clients, and have clear line of sight to a Principal pathway as the team grows.

What is your role?  

You will take technical responsibility for structural engineering deliverables across a range of projects, working across aviation, data centres and health. Day to day, you will run structural analysis, prepare and review design documentation, manage project programmes, and coordinate closely with other discipline teams. You will be a trusted point of contact for clients on the projects you lead, and you will contribute to the mentoring and technical development of more junior engineers in the team.

 

Across these sectors, structural design demands are high. Aviation projects require careful attention to serviceability, vibration and operational loads. Data centres carry tight structural coordination requirements around raised floor systems, cable tray routes, rooftop plant and seismic performance. Health projects involve infection control considerations and long-span requirements that drive the structural solution. You will be working across all three, which keeps the technical environment varied and demanding.

About You  

• You are a structural engineer with around 6 or more years of consulting experience, comfortable taking full technical responsibility for your projects and presenting your work directly to clients.
• You have worked across buildings and structures in sectors such as aviation, data centres, health or other technically complex environments, and you understand what drives the structural solution in each.
• You are proficient in structural analysis and are comfortable with analysis software; we are not prescriptive about which package you use, and we would rather you bring deep fluency in your preferred tool than surface familiarity with several.
• You have strong design documentation skills, with the ability to prepare and review structural drawings and specifications to a standard that builders and certifiers can work from without coming back repeatedly.
• You communicate clearly, can manage the structural stream of a project programme, and are comfortable coordinating with architects, hydraulic, mechanical and electrical teams in a multidisciplinary environment.
• You hold or are working towards Engineers Australia chartership (MIEAust CPEng), and you are eligible to work in Australia without visa sponsorship.
