Senior Engineer/Assistant Manager -Electrical Design-EHV

Role & responsibilities

• Study customer specifications, tender documents, and technical requirements for power transformers.
• Prepare electrical tender designs, technical offers, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Perform electrical design calculations and prepare transformer design documentation.
• Develop electrical designs in accordance with customer requirements and applicable IEC and IS standards.
• Prepare transformer designs with appropriate impedance, short-circuit withstand capability, and supporting calculations.
• Participate in technical meetings with customers to discuss design requirements, technical specifications, and drawing approvals.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, production, quality, and testing, to resolve design-related issues.
• Provide technical information and engineering support to manufacturing teams during production and testing.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of transformer production, testing, and site-related technical issues.
• Ensure design accuracy, technical compliance, and timely completion of assigned engineering activities.
• Assist in reviewing design drawings and documentation during the drawing approval process.

Preferred candidate profile

• Hands-on experience in power transformer electrical design.
• Experience in tender engineering, BOM preparation, and technical offer development.
• Knowledge of transformer design calculations and engineering standards.
• Exposure to customer technical discussions and drawing approval processes.
• Ability to provide engineering support to manufacturing, production, testing, and site teams.
• Knowledge of internal transformer design methodologies will be an added advantage.
