Senior Engineering Manager

The Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing all engineering, maintenance, building systems, infrastructure, and technical operations across a large-scale private facility.

The role ensures that all buildings, mechanical and electrical systems, utilities, equipment, and supporting infrastructure operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. The Engineering Manager will lead preventive and corrective maintenance programs, engineering projects, facility improvements, safety initiatives, and technical service providers while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and organizational standards.

• Lead the overall Engineering and Maintenance function, ensuring reliable and efficient operation of buildings, facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Oversee all Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems, including electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, water supply, drainage, fire protection, generators, pumps, building systems, and related utilities.
• Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Conduct regular inspections of buildings, engineering systems, machinery, and equipment to identify technical issues and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Monitor equipment performance, breakdowns, maintenance history, and recurring technical issues to improve reliability and minimize operational downtime.
• Establish maintenance schedules, standard operating procedures, technical standards, and engineering best practices.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with applicable laws, safety requirements, building codes, and recognized industry standards.
• Maintain accurate engineering records, maintenance reports, equipment histories, technical drawings, and documentation.
• Lead engineering projects including renovations, refurbishments, system upgrades, equipment replacement, and infrastructure improvements.
• Prepare project scopes, technical specifications, cost estimates, schedules, and implementation plans.
• Review technical drawings, engineering proposals, specifications, and quotations from contractors and suppliers.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, vendors, and suppliers throughout project implementation.
• Monitor project quality, cost, timeline, safety, and completion against approved specifications.
• Participate in tender evaluations, contractor selection, technical assessments, and project working groups.
• Identify opportunities to modernize facilities and improve engineering efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant engineering and maintenance experience, including experience in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Strong experience in building engineering, facility maintenance, M&E systems, preventive and corrective maintenance, and project management.
• Strong technical understanding of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, water systems, and other building infrastructure.
• Experience managing large or complex facilities with multiple buildings, operational areas, and engineering systems is highly desirable.
• Experience managing renovation, refurbishment, system upgrade, and infrastructure improvement projects.
• Good understanding of CAPEX/OPEX, budgeting, procurement, tendering, and cost control.
• Experience managing contractors, suppliers, engineering consultants, and outsourced technical services.
• Knowledge of building safety, occupational health and safety, fire protection, emergency systems, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Experience with energy-management, sustainability, or renewable-energy projects would be advantageous.
