Senior Engineering Manager, Member Experience

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager, Member Experience to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

This role will guide engineering execution across multiple squads focused on member-facing experiences and operational outcomes. The leader will stay close to the technology, balancing hands-on architectural review with team development, delivery discipline, and cross-functional alignment. This is a strong opportunity for an engineering manager who can improve cycle time, maintain quality, and help shape how teams build and ship mission-critical software in a fast-moving healthcare environment.

The position will also partner closely with product leadership, create clear priorities, and help establish practical AI standards for the engineering teams.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $202,400 – $253,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Own delivery across multiple squads, including priorities and accountability for decisions made
• Manage and improve cycle time while maintaining quality standards across teams
• Stay technical by shipping production work and reviewing architecture within squads
• Collaborate closely with product strategists to align scope and avoid conflicting messages
• Mentor and grow direct reports, ensuring their development is reflected in squad performance
• Plan for future team needs, with a focus on effective onboarding and skill mix
• Set AI standards for the teams, document expectations, and teach applicable skills

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering, including 4+ years in direct management of engineers
• Proven experience developing another leader, with a track record of where they are now
• Experience shipping mission-critical software and owning mistakes to improve outcomes
• Familiarity with prioritization and estimation, including the ability to say no and explain the rationale
• Hands-on experience shipping production code across various technology layers
