Senior Environmental Engineer - Water Group

Overview

We are seeking an experienced environmental engineering professional to lead the design and development of complex water treatment facilities and supporting infrastructure. This role combines technical expertise, project leadership, regulatory compliance, and client collaboration to deliver efficient and sustainable water solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams in planning, designing, and delivering water treatment facilities and related infrastructure.
• Review engineering designs, technical reports, and calculations to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, industry standards, and project requirements.
• Conduct site assessments, water quality analyses, and process modeling to support engineering decisions.
• Develop technical documentation, design guidelines, and knowledge-sharing materials to improve engineering practices.
• Support proposal preparation, evaluate project requirements, and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
• Coordinate with clients, regulatory authorities, and project teams to address technical issues and maintain project progress.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to junior engineers.

Required and Desired Skillsets

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• At least 10 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of water treatment design, water quality analysis, engineering principles, and infrastructure development.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design and drafting software, including 3D and 4D design tools.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting requirements, and applicable engineering standards.
• Excellent communication, technical writing, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Experience with alternative project delivery methods, such as design-build, is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel as required by project demands.
