Senior Estimator

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Estimator with strong knowledge of interior fit-out and construction projects to join our team in Dubai. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, reviewing drawings and specifications, obtaining supplier/subcontractor quotations, and supporting the commercial and tendering process from enquiry to submission.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs, scope of work, and tender documents in detail.
• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and tender submissions for fit-out and interior projects.
• Take off quantities from architectural, structural, MEP, joinery, and interior design drawings.
• Prepare detailed BOQs, material quantities, labour requirements, and cost breakdowns.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Compare quotations and negotiate pricing to achieve competitive project costs.
• Prepare rate analysis for materials, labour, equipment, subcontractor works, and other project requirements.
• Identify project exclusions, assumptions, qualifications, and potential cost risks.
• Coordinate with the Design, Procurement, Project Management, and Site Teams to clarify project requirements and technical details.
• Conduct site visits when required to understand existing conditions and project requirements.
• Review tender documents and identify discrepancies, missing information, and scope gaps.
• Prepare value engineering proposals where applicable to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
• Maintain a database of current material, labour, subcontractor, and supplier rates.
• Support management in reviewing project profitability, budgets, and commercial requirements.
• Assist in preparing tender clarifications, commercial submissions, and final quotations.
• Participate in tender negotiations and meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors when required.
• Monitor market prices and maintain updated cost information for future tenders.
• Ensure all estimates are prepared accurately and submitted within the required deadlines.
• Maintain proper records of estimates, quotations, BOQs, tender documents, and supporting calculations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an Estimator, Senior Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, or similar role, preferably in UAE fit-out/interior construction.
• Strong knowledge of fit-out works, joinery, civil works, MEP, finishes, and interior construction.
• Excellent knowledge of quantity take-off, BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and cost estimation.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and interior design drawings.
• Good knowledge of UAE construction materials, suppliers, subcontractors, and market rates.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and estimation/tendering software.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tenders, and meet tight deadlines.
• UAE experience in commercial fit-out, residential will be an advantage.

Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
