Responsibilities

• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and scope of work to prepare precise cost estimates
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and constraints
• Develop detailed quantity takeoffs and cost breakdowns for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
• Implement effective cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle to monitor budget adherence
• Review bids from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards
• Identify potential risks or cost overruns early and recommend mitigation strategies
• Prepare comprehensive bid proposals and present estimates to stakeholders with clarity and confidence

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Estimator or similar role within the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards
• Excellent skills in cost control, budgeting, and financial analysis
• Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications accurately
• Proficiency in estimating software tools and Microsoft Office Suite
• Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams and clients

Pay: £65,000.00-£120,000.00 per year
