Senior Estimator

Key Responsibilities1. Estimation and Cost Planning

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, preliminaries, and overheads.
• Analyze architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and verify quantities against drawings and BOQs.
• Develop project budgets, cost breakdowns, and pricing schedules.
• Apply appropriate rates, productivity factors, wastage allowances, and contingencies.

2. Tendering and Bid Management

• Review tender documents, instructions to bidders, contractual conditions, and project specifications.
• Prepare competitive and commercially viable tender submissions within deadlines.
• Identify scope gaps, discrepancies, exclusions, and ambiguities in tender documents.
• Prepare tender clarifications, qualifications, assumptions, and commercial exclusions.
• Coordinate technical and commercial inputs for tender submissions.

3. Supplier and Subcontractor Coordination

• Request, review, and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Conduct commercial evaluations and prepare bid comparison sheets.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
• Verify that quotations comply with project specifications and tender requirements.

4. Cost Analysis and Risk Management

• Assess project risks, cost fluctuations, market rates, and potential variations.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering alternatives.
• Review material price trends and maintain an updated cost database.
• Evaluate the financial impact of design changes, scope variations, and alternative materials.
• Ensure estimates are accurate, transparent, and commercially defensible.

5. Coordination and Reporting

• Coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, project management, and commercial teams.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors when required.
• Support management during tender reviews, pricing approvals, and bid presentations.
• Maintain estimation records, historical cost data, and tender documentation.
• Assist the project team with budget reviews, cost control, and variation assessments after contract award.

Pay: AED10.00 - AED20.00 per month
