Senior ETAP Modelling Engineer - Electrical Design

Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior ETAP Modelling Engineer to join our Philippines team. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated, experienced power systems modelling specialist, responsible for developing and maintaining ETAP models to support electrical design across our data centre and commercial projects. This role requires deep, hands-on expertise in load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, and harmonic studies, and the ability to independently resolve complex power system analysis challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, build, and maintain ETAP models for electrical power distribution systems on data centre and commercial projects.
• Perform load flow analysis, short circuit studies, protective device coordination, arc flash hazard analysis, and harmonic studies.
• Support single-line diagram development and electrical system design deliverables.
• Conduct motor starting studies and transient stability analysis as required.
• Prepare cable sizing, switchgear specifications, and protection grading curves based on ETAP outputs.
• Collaborate with electrical design engineers to validate system designs against modelling results.
• Prepare clear technical reports and documentation summarizing modelling findings for project stakeholders.
• Ensure all modelling work complies with relevant local and international electrical standards.

Skills & Qualifications

Required Skills

• Strong, demonstrated proficiency in ETAP software, with hands-on experience in load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, and harmonic studies.
• Ability to independently analyze and resolve complex power system issues without close supervision.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and single-line diagram development.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A team player with the ability to manage multiple modelling assignments simultaneously.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Licensed as Registered Electrical Engineer (REE).
• Min 6-8 years of experience in electrical power system modelling and design from relevant industry.
• Experience in Data Centre projects or similar critical facilities would be preferred.
• Proven background building and validating ETAP models on real projects.
• Fluency in English.

Pay: Php50,000.00 - Php70,000.00 per month

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Makati
