Senior Event Leader / Class 2 Driver

Twelve Tables is looking for a hands-on leader to help drive our events crew and depot operations. Whether you already have team leadership experience or are eager to step into your first leadership role, we provide full training—all you need is initiative, physical capability, and a practical can-do attitude.

What’s on offer

We have one fixed-term role (class 2 essential) available now through to April 2027 — with the potential to go permanent for the right person. We also have an upcoming permanent role vacant also for a hands on Operations Manager. Quality applicants with experience for this fixed term role could potentially step up into this role.

About the Roles

These aren't desk jobs — you will be leading from the front, setting the standard, and working alongside our young, energetic crew across the wider region.
Because we operate in the fast-paced events industry, flexibility is key. Your role evolves with the seasons:

• Summer Season (Busy Period): Lead our seasonal crews on-site with marquee setups, pack-downs, furniture deliveries, and solving real-time challenges at incredible event locations.
• Winter Season (Maintenance & Depot Management): Shifting focus to working on smaller jobs with our full time crew, prepping gear and equipment maintenance at our depot.

Who We’re Looking For

• Practical & Hands-On: Capable of heavy lifting, practical problem-solving, and rolling up your sleeves to get stuck in alongside the team.
• Adaptable & Growth-Minded: Open-minded, eager to learn our business inside and out, and looking to grow long-term.
• Natural Leader: Great at keeping morale high, communicating clearly, and guiding a crew.
• Flexible: Comfortable with varying hours and long days during peak event periods.
• Licensing Requirements: Full NZ car driver's license essential. Class 2 truck license experience strongly preferred, or willingness to learn and acquire it with us. Must have reliable transport to our Te Puna warehouse. Must be able to drive manual transmission.
