Senior Excavator / Dozer Operator

About the role

This is a hands-on operating position suited to an experienced civil construction operator who can confidently operate excavators and dozers, work from plans and deliver accurate earthworks to project specifications

Key responsibilities Include:
Operate diggers, dozers and other heavy plant machinery on landscaping and construction projects with precision and safety compliance

• Operating excavators and dozers across civil construction projects
• Completing bulk earthworks, trimming, site preparation and subdivision works
• Operating Topcon GPS machine control systems to achieve accurate levels and specifications
• Reading and interpreting plans, levels and site information
• Working efficiently and safely around other plant, contractors and site personnel
• Completing daily pre-starts and maintaining a high standard of machine care
• Working independently while contributing positively to the wider project team

What we're looking for

• Minimum 7 years’ civil construction experience
• Proven experience operating both excavators and dozers
• Practical experience with Topcon GPS / machine control
• Strong understanding of civil earthworks and subdivision construction
• Ability to accurately work to plans, levels and specifications
• A strong focus on quality, productivity and safety
• reliability and communication skills
• A professional approach and pride in their work
• Relevant licences and industry qualifications
