What they need
About SpexSG:
Sport Excellence Singapore (SpexSG), a subsidiary of Sport Singapore, was established on 1 April 2026. SpexSG comprises the High Performance Sport Institute, Singapore Sports School and Unleash the Roar! and is organised to nurture world class Team Singapore athletes who will go on to inspire and unite Singapore. It does so by adopting an athlete centric approach in developing and engendering a high performance ecosystem that supports our athletes with optimal daily training environment, clear development pathways and trustworthy governance systems. SpexSG harnesses the full spectrum of capabilities and capacities of all partners such as NSAs, coaches, parents, educational establishments, corporate supporters, and fans so that our Team Singapore athletes would achieve their highest potential and in so doing rally their fellow Singaporeans to do the same with the same Singapore Spirit.
Responsibilities
As part of the HPSI’s Capability Development team, you will support the planning, design and delivery of initiatives that strengthen the capabilities of Singapore's high-performance sport ecosystem. Working in a small and agile team, you will contribute across the full project lifecycle—from stakeholder engagement and needs analysis to project coordination and implementation. You will have opportunities to work on strategic organisation development and capability initiatives while helping ensure their successful execution.
Your responsibilities include:
- Support the design and delivery of stakeholder engagement sessions, workshops and consultations to gather insights, validate needs and build shared ownership across the high-performance sport ecosystem, including facilitating selected sessions where appropriate.
- Conduct research, environmental scans and needs analyses to inform capability development initiatives, organisation development interventions and project planning.
- Support the procurement and coordination of consultancy engagements, including preparing tender documentation, coordinating evaluations and working with appointed consultants to deliver project outcomes.
- Support the design and implementation of capability development solutions, including competency frameworks, learning interventions and organisation development initiatives.
- Coordinate project plans, timelines, deliverables and stakeholder communications to support the successful implementation of capability development projects.
- Prepare reports, presentations, briefing papers and qualitative and quantitative analyses to support planning, decision-making and stakeholder engagement.
- Provide secretariat support for project meetings and working groups, including preparing meeting materials, documenting discussions and tracking follow-up actions.
- Coordinate the logistics and administration of workshops, engagement sessions and other capability and organisation development activities, while maintaining project documentation and records to support effective project delivery.
As part of a lean and agile team, you will also have opportunities to contribute beyond your core responsibilities, take ownership of projects and help shape new initiatives as the function grows.
Requirements
We are looking for a motivated, curious and collaborative individual who is passionate about developing people, organisations and systems. You enjoy bringing people together to solve problems, translating ideas into practical solutions, and continuously learning and improving the way work is done. You are equally comfortable thinking strategically and paying attention to the operational details that enable successful project delivery.
An ideal candidate should possess the following:
A degree in Human Resource Management, Organisational Development, Organisational Psychology, Business, Social Sciences or a related discipline.
1 to 3 years of relevant experience in organisation development, learning and development, consulting, project management, stakeholder engagement or related fields. Fresh graduates with relevant internship or project experience are welcome to apply.
Good stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience supporting or facilitating workshops, focus groups or consultations, or a willingness to develop these capabilities.
Strong project coordination and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality outcomes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to synthesise qualitative and quantitative information into clear insights and recommendations.
A proactive, adaptable and resourceful mindset, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team.
Strong digital literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, with curiosity and willingness to leverage AI and low-code technologies (e.g. Microsoft Copilot and Microsoft Power Platform) to automate routine tasks, develop simple digital solutions and improve team productivity.
An interest in high-performance sport and the development of people and organisations.
