What they need
- Manage day-to-day procurement activities for assigned categories.
- Review material requirements and initiate sourcing activities within defined timelines.
- Plan procurement activities based on production, project and inventory requirements.
- Ensure timely placement of purchase orders against approved requirements.
- Float enquiries, obtain and analyze quotations and prepare comparative statements.
- Negotiate price, delivery, payment terms, freight, tooling and other commercial conditions within defined authority.
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure compliance with approved commercial and technical terms.
- Monitor PO status, pending orders, delivery commitments and supplier performance on Quality, Cost and Delivery.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Planning, Quality, Stores, Finance and Projects.
- Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, SOPs and approval procedures.
