About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Executive who can manage client accounts end to end, lead a small team, and be the dependable point of contact our clients rely on. This is a client facing role. You will not just process work; you will own it, follow it through and close it.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Client Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and manage their accounting and compliance requirements
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients over email, calls and meetings
• Follow up consistently for data, documents and approvals to keep deliverables on schedule
• Understand client concerns and resolve queries with ownership and patience

Accounting and Finalisation

• Maintain and manage books of accounts in Tally, including day to day bookkeeping and ledger scrutiny
• Prepare and finalise the Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Account
• Perform bank reconciliations, ledger reconciliations and period end closing entries
• Ensure books are accurate, updated and audit ready at all times

Taxation and Compliance

• Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR 1, GSTR 3B) and handle GST reconciliations, including GSTR 2B matching
• Compute and deposit TDS, file quarterly TDS returns and issue TDS certificates
• Prepare and file Income Tax Returns for individuals, firms and companies
• Assist in Tax Audit engagements, including preparation of Form 3CD and supporting schedules

Team Leadership and Delivery

• Lead, guide and review the work of junior team members
• Plan and allocate work to meet statutory and client deadlines
• Take full ownership of assigned projects and ensure they are completed and closed on time
• Maintain proper documentation and working papers for every engagement

What We Are Looking For

• Graduate or Postgraduate in Commerce; CA Inter or semi qualified candidates preferred
• 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in accounting, GST, Income Tax and TDS
• Prior experience with a CA firm will be a strong advantage
• Hands on command of Tally and strong understanding of bookkeeping
• Strong understanding of Balance Sheet and P&L finalisation
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, reconciliations) and a strong hold on MS Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confident in dealing with clients and persistent with follow ups
• A sense of ownership: you see work through until it is done and closed
• Comfortable using AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude or similar) in daily work for drafting, reconciliations, research and Excel analysis, and eager to keep learning new ones
