Senior Executive - Internal Audit

Our client "GS Paperboard & Packaging Sdn Bhd" is seeking a Senior Executive – Internal Audit (Based in Banting Plant) to join their team! This full-time, on-site opportunity offers the chance to contribute to group-wide internal audit assignments across OJI Group of Companies, strengthen business controls and gain regional exposure through compulsory travel across Malaysia and Southeast Asia. Based at the Banting Plant near Kota Warisan/Sepang, the role offers a MYR 4,000–5,500 salary range and flexible clock-in hours within a Monday–Friday schedule.

What you'll be doing?

• Reviewing internal controls: Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls across OJI Group of Companies and identify practical opportunities to strengthen operational and critical processes.
• Supporting audit assignments: Assist with the planning, execution, completion and reporting of internal audit assignments in line with the audit plan.
• Conducting fieldwork: Perform audit fieldwork and prepare clear audit reports for review by the superior.
• Maintaining audit documentation: Prepare comprehensive reports and supporting working papers to ensure audit findings and conclusions are properly documented.
• Facilitating audit meetings: Present audit matters clearly and support effective communication with auditees and top management.
• Engaging stakeholders: Discuss findings and recommendations with auditees, obtain agreement and gather constructive feedback.
• Supporting the wider function: Carry out other duties and responsibilities assigned by the superior from time to time.

Who are they looking for?

• Relevant academic background: A Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Banking, Business Studies or an equivalent discipline is required.
• Auditing experience: At least three years of working experience in the auditing field is required.
• Audit knowledge: Sound knowledge of proper audit procedures, techniques and internal controls will support effective delivery in the role.
• Analytical capability: Strong communication, learning, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills will help in assessing findings and developing practical recommendations.
• Stakeholder relationships: A positive approach to maintaining relationships with auditees and key business contacts is important for constructive collaboration.
• Language proficiency: Strong English and Bahasa Malaysia skills are required for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders; Mandarin and Japanese are advantageous for engagement with regional and international stakeholders.
• Travel readiness: Willingness to travel frequently within Malaysia and overseas in Southeast Asia is essential, including approximately three Southeast Asia trips yearly.
• Transport and location: A valid driving capability with own car and willingness to work at Banting Plant, near Kota Warisan/Sepang, are required.
• Time management: Strong organisation and time management skills are valued for meeting tight audit deadlines.
