Senior Executive, Reinsurance Operations

Responsible in the administration of all documentation and processing of Reinsurance Outward closings efficiently in order to assist the Department to meet its objective and in accordance with the guidelines of the Company, Central Administration Bureau and Bank Negara Malaysia.

You'll Be Responsible For

• Processing of all reinsurance and co-insurance transactions in OPUS in accordance to the placement slip before the month-end closing and send out RI closing timely to reinsurers
• Processing of all reinsurance and co-insurance outward transactions in Central Administration Bureau(CAB) System, assist on CAB UAT test if required
• To reconcile all outward transactions entered in OPUS and CAB after month-end closings and make adjustments if required
• Attend general enquiry from internal and external stakeholders
• Manage the submission of risk to The Scheme Manager for clearance on risks fall under the Large & Specialized Risk (LSR) and the preparation of Placement Completion Report.
• Support Manager/HOD with RI placement when required, collaborating closely with the underwriter and sales team, and assisting in the preparation of RI documentation to ensure all placement complete with accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain proper e-filing of all documentations so that there is good control of filing system
• Referral to SVT on non-approved reinsurers via CRIPS and obtain approval prior to inception
• Handle and manage the overall performance of Reinsurance Module in OPUS system, attending on the system UAT if required
• Assist in the reinsurance placement and provide reinsurance administration support
• Participate proactively and contribute values to projects or new activities required by the Department for business efficiency or continuous process improvement
• Perform other duties as and when deemed necessary.

Important To Your Success

• Bachelor's Degree in Insurance, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in reinsurance, insurance operations, or underwriting support.
• Strong knowledge of reinsurance administration and operational processes.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and insurance systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and driven to improve processes and deliver results.
• Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT or Copilot is an added advantage.
