At Lace Lithography, we’re scaling up our team and looking for a passionate and sharp Senior Experimental Physicist to join us in Bergen. In our company we build chip lithography technology that will enable the next 100 years of chip manufacturing. Founded in 2023, we’re based in Bergen (Norway) and Barcelona (Spain), and backed by some of the world’s most ambitious investors. About The Role In our company, we develop chip patterning technology that will enable the next 100 years of chip manufacturing. Founded in 2023, we’re based in Bergen (Norway) and Barcelona (Spain), and are backed by some of the world’s most ambitious investors.

  • At least 3 years working on instrument development in an industry or academic setting.
  • Previous experience leading technical teams on complex scientific or engineering projects (at least 2-3 years).
  • Hands-on experience with high or ultrahigh vacuum hardware and instrumentation and deep understanding of vacuum practice and theory.
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering R&D projects from conception through to completion.
  • Experience working with molecular/atom beams and charged particle beams in academic or industrial research settings.
  • Desirable: proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, etc.).
  • Desirable: experience working with lasers and optics.
