SENIOR FACADE DESIGNER

About the role

Provide external façade shop drawings that include design details satisfying architectural requirements, structural requirements and weather tightness. Provide fabrication drawings and material take-offs. Delegate the work and assist the team to ensure that all project requirements are properly addressed.

Key responsibilities

• Provide external façade shop drawings that include design details satisfying architectural requirements, structural requirements and weather tightness
• Provide fabrication drawings and material take-offs
• Delegate the work and assist the team to ensure that all project requirements are properly addressed
• Ensure that all required deliverables are satisfactorily provided and submitted to client
• Prepare or review important correspondences prepared by the team in case of major design issues
• Review curtain wall specifications and ensure that all relevant and correct information pertaining to the project are properly incorporated
• Review drawings completed by the team
• Supervise the preparations of shop drawings, die drawings, fabrication drawings, material take-offs, QA/QC process and other tasks to complete the deliverables
• Coordinate with the Project Manager regarding any problems that may arise while developing the system
• Handle multiple tasks as required and manage pressure with or without supervision

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in architectural design, preferably with exposure to glass and aluminum works
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and other design tools
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate drawings and documentation
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of architectural design and glass technology
