Senior FEA Engineer – Explicit Dynamics

Hariansh Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Senior FEA Engineer with strong expertise in explicit dynamic simulations using ANSYS LS-DYNA and Abaqus/Explicit. The candidate will be responsible for performing advanced finite element analysis, evaluating structural response under dynamic loading conditions, and delivering technically sound simulation results.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using ANSYS LS-DYNA and Abaqus/Explicit.
• Conduct explicit dynamic simulations involving impact, crash, collision, drop, and other transient loading conditions.
• Develop and validate finite element models, including geometry preparation, meshing, contacts, and boundary conditions.
• Define appropriate material models, nonlinear properties, and failure criteria.
• Perform nonlinear structural analysis and interpret simulation results.
• Troubleshoot convergence, contact, element distortion, and simulation stability issues.
• Conduct post-processing, result interpretation, and technical report preparation.
• Validate simulation results against available experimental data, analytical calculations, or engineering requirements.
• Coordinate with design and engineering teams to provide simulation-based recommendations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in FEA and explicit dynamic simulations.
• Hands-on experience with ANSYS LS-DYNA and Abaqus/Explicit.
• Strong understanding of nonlinear finite element methods and structural mechanics.
• Knowledge of material modelling, contact algorithms, impact mechanics, and failure analysis.
• Experience with pre-processing and post-processing tools such as ANSA, HyperMesh, ANSYS Mechanical, or equivalent tools.
• Ability to independently execute simulations and prepare technical reports.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• Material failure, damage modelling, and energy absorption analysis.
