Senior FF&E Designer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior FF&E Designer to join SOHO GROUP CO., LTD. in Bangkok. This is a full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to lead the design and specification of furniture, fixtures, and equipment across our diverse portfolio of projects. As a Senior FF&E Designer, you will play a crucial role in translating architectural visions into functional, aesthetically compelling interior environments. Your expertise will directly influence the quality and success of our projects, making this position strategically important within our design team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive FF&E specifications and designs for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects
• Create detailed material boards, 3D renderings, and technical drawings to communicate design concepts to clients and stakeholders
• Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and project managers to ensure FF&E selections align with overall project vision and budget parameters
• Source and select furniture, fixtures, and equipment from suppliers, considering quality, cost-effectiveness, and design integrity
• Prepare detailed specifications, schedules, and procurement documentation for FF&E items
• Manage FF&E budgets and timelines, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within financial constraints
• Conduct site visits and coordinate with contractors to oversee FF&E installation and quality control
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers and design team members
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current design trends, materials, and industry best practices
• Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and preferences throughout the design process

What we're looking for

• Minimum 7-10 years of professional experience in FF&E design within interior design, architecture, or related design disciplines
• Proven expertise in specifying and sourcing furniture, fixtures, and equipment across multiple project types
• Strong proficiency in design software including AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
• Excellent knowledge of materials, finishes, and construction methods relevant to interior design
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail
• Strong understanding of building codes, accessibility standards, and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively articulate design concepts to diverse audiences
• Experience working within budget constraints and demonstrable cost management abilities
• Professional qualification or certification in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field (preferred)
• Knowledge of Thai building regulations and familiarity with local suppliers and manufacturers (advantageous)
• Leadership experience and ability to mentor junior team members
