Senior File System Developer

About the Role

As Senior File System Developer , you develop the storage software that helps our customers build dependable embedded products. You will join our Hungary team and work on technologies used across automotive, aerospace, industrial, networking and consumer markets.

You will design and improve file systems and flash translation layers, working on performance and reliability in environments with limited resources. This is a senior engineering role: you take ownership of technical work, guide complex projects and share your experience with colleagues.

The role is based in Budapest, Hungary. You will collaborate with our global engineering teams on product development and customer solutions.

What Will You Do

• Design and implement features and optimizations for our file system and flash translation layer products
• Lead technical work to improve performance, scalability and reliability
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to integrate our technologies into customer and partner solutions
• Guide custom engineering projects from concept through delivery
• Improve development processes, tools and software quality
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute through code reviews and technical guidance

What You Bring

• Strong C programming skills and experience in embedded or system-level development
• Proven experience with embedded systems and/or real-time operating systems (RTOS)
• Experience debugging, profiling and optimizing software in resource-constrained environments
• Scripting skills, such as Python or Perl, for automation and testing
• Strong problem-solving skills and ownership of your work
• Good written and spoken English

A strong plus: experience with MISRA coding standards, the V-model or similar development processes, code review and technical guidance, or contributions to open-source file system or kernel projects.
