Senior Finance Executive

About the role

This is a Senior Executive or Assistant Manager level accounting position in the travel and hospitality industry. The role involves managing full sets of financial accounts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting financial operations across travel, treasury, and tax functions.

Key responsibilities

• Financial Management: Prepare full sets of accounts (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets), monthly/quarterly closing operations, and variance analysis in accordance with MFRS.
• Travel Operations & Treasury: Involve in day-to-day accounting operations, including managing and organizing overall accounts related documents, payment processing, and rolling cash flow forecasts.
• Tax & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with SST, LHDN e-Invoicing rules, tax e-filing submissions, and facilitate annual audit processes.
• Process Improvement: Support the accounting software and CRM integration (e.g., QNE digital workflow migration) and internal control updates.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Coordinate effectively with external auditors, tax agents, financial institutions, and overseas business partners.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance / Accounting or professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, MIA, or equivalent)
• 3 to 5 years of full sets experience for Senior Executive level; 5+ years with team/month-end leadership experience for Assistant Manager level
• Strong working knowledge of MFRS, SST regulations, LHDN e-Invoicing framework, and advanced MS Excel skills
• Proficient in written and spoken English, Bahasa Malaysia, and with the ability to communicate effectively with Chinese-speaking airlines, regional travel operators, and overseas business partners).
• Prior experience in travel, hospitality, BSP reconciliations, or PLC subsidiary financial reporting is an added advantage
