Senior Finance Manager

Are you an ACA or ACCA qualified finance professional who enjoys taking ownership of the numbers and wants a role with breadth across international entities and entertainment brands?

Our client is an international consumer and brand-led business looking for a Senior Finance Manager to join its London finance team.

The business operates across multiple markets, with a portfolio covering retail, lifestyle and entertainment. Its finance team works closely with colleagues across the business, so this is an environment where strong accounting fundamentals need to sit alongside the ability to build relationships and keep pace with changing commercial activity.

The role has a corporate accounting focus, with ownership of reporting and controls across multiple entities. You’ll be close to the detail at month end, but also have exposure to the wider group and the entertainment side of the business. It would suit someone who likes a varied, hands-on remit and is ready to take responsibility for their area.

What will you be doing?

• Leading the month-end close across a portfolio of entities
• Producing management accounts and explaining the numbers behind them
• Reviewing balance sheet positions and resolving reconciliation issues
• Overseeing the accounting for royalty income and other revenue streams
• Ensuring costs, accruals and prepayments are recorded accurately
• Managing transactions and balances between group companies
• Supporting transfer pricing, tax provisions and other corporate accounting requirements
• Preparing reporting for the wider group finance team
• Working with colleagues across finance and the business to make sure new activity is reflected correctly in the accounts
• Supporting audit work and responding to technical accounting queries
• Spotting opportunities to improve processes without compromising controls

What would we love to see from you?

• ACA or ACCA qualified, 4+ years PQE
• Strong grounding in financial accounting and reporting
• Entertainment, Retail or FMCG experience ideal
• Comfortable working across multiple entities and engaging with stakeholders inside and outside finance
• Strong analytical and organisational skills, with a hands-on, self-starting approach
• NetSuite experience desirable

Location: London (4 days in office)

Salary: £75,000 - £80,000 + bonus
