Senior Finance Officer

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Administration

• Process end-to-end Philippine payroll, ensuring accurate computation of salaries, overtime, allowances, incentives, deductions, and final pay.
• Administer statutory deductions and government contributions, including SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and withholding tax.
• Prepare payroll reports, journals, and reconciliation schedules.
• Ensure payroll is processed accurately and within established deadlines.

Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts.
• Record daily financial transactions and prepare journal entries.
• Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions.
• Prepare month-end and year-end closing schedules.

BIR & Statutory Compliance

• Prepare and file BIR reports and tax returns in compliance with Philippine regulations.
• Ensure timely submission of statutory requirements.
• Maintain accounting records in accordance with BIR standards.
• Coordinate with external auditors, accountants, and government agencies when required.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor company expenses and budget utilization.
• Assist management with financial analysis and cash flow monitoring.
• Identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements.

Finance Operations

• Maintain accounting documentation and financial records.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Recommend improvements to finance and payroll processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of finance and accounting experience, including Philippine payroll administration.
• Strong working knowledge of Philippine payroll legislation, labor standards, and statutory compliance.
• Hands-on experience with BIR regulations, tax filings, and bookkeeping.
• Experience preparing financial statements and month-end reports.
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage confidential financial information with professionalism.

Preferred Experience

• Experience using accounting software such as Xero, or similar ERP systems.
• Experience handling end-to-end payroll.
• Exposure to Australian or multinational business environments isan advantage, but not required.
• Experience supporting external audits and financial compliance activities.
