Senior Financial Analyst

Responsibilities

1. Support the Group in business planning, management reporting and analysis

• Prepare monthly management reports with analysis on financial performance and KPIs
• Propose modification of business planning processes and tools.  Cascade and provide relevant trainings to end markets.
• Evaluation of growth opportunities and new market entries
• Drive initiatives and projects to improve financial performance, operational efficiency of the Group and end markets

2. Support emerging markets in budget & planning and financial analysis

• Prepare annual budget and monthly financial forecast
• Provide financial reports and analysis for monthly business review.  Highlight potential growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Support budgetary control on marketing and promotion spend.  Conduct ROI analysis on promotional activities and provide recommendations to improve investment effectiveness.
• Liaise with Customer Development function to maintain pricing matrix and ensure timely recognition and settlement of promotion spend according to relevant governance

3. Perform ad-hoc assignments given by the manager

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or related fields
• Member of HKIPCA or international accounting bodies is preferred. Otherwise, a student member of HKIPCA or international accounting bodies who is pursuing CPA examinations
• Experienced in SAP, BW, Microsoft Excel and/or other business planning and analysis tools
• 5-6 years of working experience in Accounting/Audit with major accounting/audit firms, and/or in financial planning, reporting and analysis with multinational companies (experience with FMCG is a plus)
• Strong communication and engagement skills
• Solid analytical skills and good attention to details.  Able to propose appropriate ways to conduct robust financial analysis for different scenarios and business need
• Strong team work mindset
• Able to prioritize different tasks and develop effective work plan
• Open minded.  Proactive in contributing own ideas for continuous improvement in performance, business results, processes and governance
• Great initiative to learn and develop new skills
