Senior Fire Fighting Engineer (Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Approved)

Position Title: Senior Fire Fighting Engineer Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE Experience Level: Minimum 10+ years of professional experience Credentials: Abu Dhabi Civil Defense (ADCD) Approved / Certified

Key Responsibilities1. Design Verification & Engineering

• Review, evaluate, and verify comprehensive fire fighting, fire suppression, and life safety design packages, including shop drawings, hydraulic calculations, schematic layouts, and material submittals.
• Ensure all technical parameters, including water demand, pipe sizing, sprinkler density, and hazard classifications, comply with Abu Dhabi Civil Defense (ADCD) rules and international NFPA standards.
• Perform value engineering and identify gaps before execution to optimize safety, compliance, and cost.
• Manage coordination across adjacent MEP, Electrical, Civil, and Architectural design teams to prevent spatial or functional routing conflicts.

2. Technical Procurement & Material Control

• Audit and approve procurement documents, including detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ), material take-offs (MTO), and commercial bids from suppliers.
• Evaluate and pre-qualify vendors, equipment manufacturers, and subcontractors to ensure they hold valid Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Approved Certificates / ADNOC Approvals.
• Issue Material Inspection Requests (MIR) and technical approvals for firefighting components, such as high-capacity fire pumps, deluge systems, gas suppression cylinders (FM-200/Novec), and pre-action valves, etc.

3. Site Installation & Execution Supervision

• Directly oversee and inspect site construction activities to guarantee that the installation of piping, sprinklers, clean-agent suppression networks, and foam systems mirrors the approved engineering drawings.
• Provide expert on-site technical resolution for unexpected engineering modifications, spatial issues, or installation deviations.
• Supervise quality control standards, ensuring contractors adhere to safe work practices, Work Inspection Requests (WIR), and project schedules.

4. Testing, Commissioning & Authority Approvals

• Lead pre-functional, functional, and integrated testing and commissioning protocols for the complete fire protection matrix, including critical interlocks with HVAC, building management systems (BMS), and fire alarms.
• Serve as the main technical interface during official inspections with Abu Dhabi Civil Defense authorities to secure final occupancy certificates, completion certificates, and project handovers.

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
