Role Purpose

Develop embedded firmware and software architecture for Volex Gen2 portable charging products with emphasis on safety, charging control, communication protocols and future bidirectional capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Firmware Development

• Design embedded software architecture.
• Develop charging control algorithms.
• Implement protection and fault handling.

Communication Protocols

• CAN
• UART
• SPI
• I2C
• Modbus
• OCPP (preferred)

Product Development

• Perform firmware verification and debugging.
• Support hardware integration.
• Participate in system validation activities.

Future Development

• Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G)
• Bidirectional charging systems
• Connected charging products

Requirements:

Education

Bachelor Degree in:

• Computer Engineering
• Embedded Systems
• Electronics Engineering

Skills

• Embedded C
• C++
• RTOS
• ARM Cortex
• Debugging Tools

Experience

• 8+ years embedded firmware experience
• EVSE industry experience preferred
