Senior Fluids & Cementing Engineer

1. Develop and review drilling and completion fluid programmes and cementing designs.
2. Lead preparation and technical evaluation of drilling, completion fluids and cementing service contracts.
3. Provide expertise in WBM, OBM/SOBM, RDF and completion fluid systems.
4. Plan and review cementing programmes to ensure wellbore and cement sheath integrity.
5. Support open-hole and cased-hole sand control and gravel-pack operations.
6. Manage completion brines, including chloride- and bromide-based systems.
7. Oversee fluid and cement testing, including rheology, stability and filtration control.
8. Troubleshoot lost circulation, wellbore stability, differential sticking and cementing issues.
9. Manage mud-plant planning and fluid volumes at the shorebase.
10. Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, industry standards and regulatory requirements.
11. Analyse operational data and recommend improvements in drilling and completion performance.
12. Provide technical guidance to drilling teams, service providers and other stakeholders.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in drilling/completion fluids and/or cementing operations.
2. Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Chemical or Petroleum Engineering.
3. Strong experience in drilling and completion fluid design and cementing operations.
4. Practical knowledge of WBM, SOBM, OBM, RDF and completion fluid systems.
5. Experience in open-hole and cased-hole sand control and gravel-pack operations.
6. Knowledge of chloride- and bromide-based completion brines.
7. Understanding of fluid chemistry, cement chemistry and well integrity.
8. Experience in mud-plant volume planning and shorebase operations.
9. Ability to troubleshoot complex drilling fluid and cementing problems.
10. Experience in technical bid evaluation and service-provider performance management.
11. Strong analytical, communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
